SAMPLE ITINERARY
DAY 1: WELCOME TO ZAGREB
Welcome to Zagreb, Croatian capital. Meet and greet at Zagreb Airport and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore Zagreb which marks the crossroad between the Adriatic coast and Central Europe. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Zagreb.
DAY 2: ZAGREB CITY TOUR – BLED LAKE
A morning guided tour of Zagreb will take you through the historic Upper Town. See St. Mark’s Church, St. Catherine’s Church, the Cathedral, Parliament, and the Government Palace.
This afternoon we drive to to Bled, small town in the Julian Alps which could be a setting for a classic fairy tale: immense natural beauty with mountains and forest surrounding an emerald glacial lake, an island in the middle of the lake with a church steeple and its wishing bell, a cliff top castle with picturesque views, and a well-known sweet treat. DAY 3: LJUBLJANA – PLITVICE LAKE NATIONAL PARK
Morning departure to Ljubljana, Slovenian capital where you will have a city tour of Ljubljana with expert local guided: the picturesque Central open-air Market and the Three Bridges, the Baroque Town Hall and Robba’s Fountain. After visiting Ljubljana we continue our journey to Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery of this natural wonder with its 16 terraced lakes surrounded by forested mountains and lush vegetation. A walking tour takes you around several of the lower lakes. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Plitvice area.
DAY 4: ZADAR and Split – embarkation on luxury ship
Morning departure to Zadar. Enjoy Zadar city tour with your local guide and admire the 16th-century walls built in by Venetians , Port Gate where the Venetian lion still stands guard over the entrance, the Square of the Five Wells, Church of St. Donat, the Roman Forum (1st century BC) and the largest cathedral in Dalmatia, St. Anastasia. Departure to town of Omis and embarkation on luxury boat for 7 nights Croatian islands cruise. Welcome reception, dinner and overnight on board in Omis.
DAY 5: Cruising to island Brac – PUCISCA – SPLIT
Morning after breakfast you can join optional excursion up the canyon of the river Cetina before setting sails towards Pucisca on the island of Brac. After docking at Pucisca, your cruise manager will take you for a short visit to a stonemasonry school nearby where you will learn of the Brac limestone and their centuries-old tradition of stonemasonry and the unconventional tools they use. In the afternoon you will continue sailing to Split. Upon arrival in Split join on guided walking tour of the monumental Diocletian Palace built over 1700 years ago. Overnight on board in Split.
DAY 6: Excursion to Trogir and Skradin – Sibenik
After breakfast you will join our excursion to Trogir and Skradin. Leaving Split first stop will be Trogir, small Dalmatian town listed on UNESCO’s List of World Cultural Heritage, situated on an island and squeezed in between the mainland and the larger island of Ciovo. You will have free time to pay a visit to the main attraction in Trogir – the Cathedral of St. Lawrence which is probably the finest example of sacral architecture in Croatia. Continuing by coach through the Sibenik hinterland we will stop in Skradin. Skradin is situated on the upper end of river Krka estuary at the entrance to National Park, you will have free time for exploration. Final destination of the day will be Sibenik. Stroll with your guide through the narrow and steep streets of Sibenik; pass by the most important monument, the Gothic-Renaissance Cathedral of St. James included on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2001. Dinner and overnight on board in Sibenik.
DAY 7: Cruising to island VIS
After breakfast departure to Vis. Stop will be made for swimming and relaxing (weather dependable). Afternoon arrival to island Vis. Vis is untouched by the modern development and tourism for many years so one can experience the tradition and the way of life of the Mediterranean as it once was. Overnight on board in Vis.
DAY 8: Cruising to island HVAR and KORCULA
Breakfast on board and early departure to Hvar island – famous for its endless fields of lavender and rosemary, its beautiful coast and lovely historical towns. Upon arrival, our expert local guide will take you for a walk around the ancient streets of Hvar. After the guided walking tour of Hvar we will set sail to Korcula Island. Arrival to Korcula in the afternoon is followed by guided walking tour of Korcula. Dinner and overnight on board in Korcula
DAY 9: Cruising to island MLJET and Dubrovnik riviera
Breakfast on board and departure to Mljet island. Island of Mljet on its western side houses the National Park Mljet, known for its immense beauty and its two turquoise salty lakes surrounded by thick forest. Upon arrival you will have plenty of free time to explore the park individually, or take our optional trip to the Lakes. Lunch and swimming break are followed by early afternoon departure to Dubrovnik riviera After arrival in small town of Slano you are free to take optional guided tour to Ston – a small town famous of its 5 km long city walls (the longest one in Europe) and visit local vinery where you will have opportunity to taste some finest Dalmatian wines. Overnight on board in Slano.
DAY 10:Cruising to DUBROVNIK
After breakfast we set sail to Dubrovnik and cruise beneath The City Walls. Upon arrival to Dubrovnik port transfer to the Old Town, where you will be joining a guided tour of Dubrovnik. Our local expert will show you around this fascinating world-known landmark, an ancient town protected by 13th century fortifications. After the tour you will have free time to explore Dubrovnik on your own. Overnight on board in Dubrovnik.
DAY 11 : Dubrovnik DEPARTURE
Our cruise ends after breakfast and onward departure transfer to the Dubrovnik airport or hotel in Dubrovnik.
